While being priviledged to attend the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the BBC's 'The Sky at Night'.  Some of the Webtreatz crew were lucky enough to meet british Astronaut Piers Sellars. Piers talked at length about his experiences flying on the Space Shuttle and on the International Space Station.  It was such a honour to meet with someone who has done what most of us can only dream about. Everyone who met Piers was struck by not only his warm friendly approach but also his willingness to share his experiences.  Piers gave us some absolutely amazing photos which are presented below.  Click on each image for a the full res versions which really must be seen to be believed.

Ireland and the UK from Space.  This amazing image was taken from onboard the International Space Station and shows some amazing ground detail.  It's interesting to think that while we look at these guys flying overhead they are sometimes looking down on us.
In this amazing show you can clearly see the reflection of the astronaut taking the shot in Piers visor.  Piers currently holds the record for the most space walks (EVA's)
"Just doin' my job'  - Piers Sellars participating in an EVA as part of the ongoing mission to complete the International Space Station.
A wider angle shot which shows some amazing detail.  Just look at the cloud formations on the blue rock below!
