We have just published our latest image to the gallery.  M31 (The Andromeda Galaxy) is around 2.9million light years distant from us.  This is one of the few galaxies which can be seen with the naked eye from dark locations.  Our photo is the result of 6 x 10 minute exposures taken on the night of December 6th 2005.  Although we're quite pleased with the result we know we can do better.  The 'blurring' on the left is caused (we beleive) by vignetting within the optical train of the telescope used.  This may well have been caused by the use of 1.25" accessories (filters) which is restricting the light path to the CCD plane.

See the gallery section to see this and other pictures we have produced.
